スチールのパイプをジョイント材として、そこに木材を差し込むことでつくる家具シリーズである。木材の柔らかさ、鉄の強度や溶接というディテールの自由度と、3本のパイプという構成材の可能性を研究することからスタートした。木材と金物は簡単なダボ、ネジで留めることができ、組み立ては直感的に理解しやすく、容易に組み上げることができる。
構成材は木の棒材とコンパクトなジョイント材で、ほとんどフラットパックとなるため、移動や搬送が容易である。この工法を使いさまざまな家具やファンクションへの可能性を追求している。

hese are a series of simple furniture that use a hardware made up of welded steel pipes and
wood rods passing through them. We begun by studying possibilities of combining softness of
wood with the stiffness of three welded steel pipes. The welded pipes are extremely flexible in
terms of variations in design. The wood and hardware are joined and fixed with dowels driven
into mortises. In addition to being extremely intuitive and easy to assemble, transportation is
also easy because they can be packed flat when dismantled. We introduce the first three
designs, which will be followed by many more using the same technique.
