Matching the height of the sofa while referencing the traditional Japanese, short legged chabudai dining table, the sofa table can be utilized while seated on the floor. The transparent glass top highlights the structure of the legs in an honest way, celebrating the material.

Inspired by the Case Study Houses, Karimoku Case Study draws on the visionary works of the architects for the iconic, modernist program.
In the 1940s, Arts & Architecture magazine commissioned young and successful architects, such as Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames, to design inexpensive and easily rep- licable model homes to accommodate the residential housing boom in the US at the time.
Based on new ideas for residential living, the commissioned architects essentially redefined the modern home, and the houses that were built are today considered iconic, modernist masterpieces.

This round table is based on the design of A-DT02 | Dining Table adapted to European hospitality and culture. The legs’ shape and their attachment angle are drawn from A-DT02 | Dining Table. The visual lightness thanks to no apron enables the versatility of the table, which fits in many locations, including hospitality facilities.

Like A-DC02 | Dining Chair and A-DC03 | Dining Chair, this lounge chair is layered with rich materials and details that showcase the craftsmanship of Karimoku Furniture. The spacious seating comfort creates a rich and gentle moment. The back, carved from solid wood, gives a soft impression, as if in response to the soft material upholstered on the seat.

Designed to support activities such as sitting comfortably, talking to someone, eating a meal or drinking a cup of coffee, while the rich materials and craftsmanship of Karimoku Furniture make the user feel more positive. The angle at which the cross section of each leg is attached gives the table a unique structural elegance and supports the tabletop, superseding the need for aprons. When placed in a context, the wooden table seems to float in effortless interplay with its surroundings, elevating the atmosphere and character of the space. In spite of its size, the table appears light and discreet, allowing the organic form of the chairs placed around it to stand out.

The A-ST01 is crafted as a sofa table with an ideal structure, scale, and height for comfortable seating, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and a book. It can also serve as a side table by the bedside or entrance.
Its straightforward design, carefully selected materials, and the craftsmanship of Karimoku Furniture elevate it to the level of a sculptural piece, making a statement in any living room.

Its flat-panel legs create a distinctive yet sculptural presence despite being a round high table. The tapered edges of the tabletop and legs add a sense of lightness, allowing it to blend seamlessly into any space. This versatile high table complements various settings without feeling out of place.

The bar stool was designed while developing the bar counter of BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel. The seat is upholstered with cushions, and the backrest is carved out of solid wood to provide great comfort.

This dining chair was designed during the planning for the Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya Cafe. Consideration was given to its suitability for a modern interior and its suitability as a chair for a cafe within a park. The result is a casual dining chair that you can sit in comfortably for a long time.

The Shibuya Cafe Collection has its native setting in the Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya Cafe, located in the Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. The Shibuya Cafe is the sole tenant of a two-storey construction within Kitaya Park, which has been renovated to make it a bright park that opens out to its perimeter, giving it the feel of a city recreation area.

As with Case 02, under the direction of one of the brand initiators and Keiji Ashizawa as lead architect, the tailor-made furniture for the cafe has been realised as an extra edition of Karimoku Case 02.

The Shibuya Cafe Collection was designed especially for the Blue Bottle Coffee Shibuya Cafe located in Tokyo, Japan. The Blue Bottle Shibuya Cafe is the sole tenant of a two-story building within the Kitaya Park, which has been renovated to open up to its surrounding to become a bright park in the heart of the city.

Similar to the Blue Bottle Minato Mirai Café, which is also known as the Karimoku Case 02, the total design of the Shibuya café was designed by Keiji Ashizawa Design, and custom made timber furniture and interior elements were produced. Furniture such as the table and the chair were added as additional collection to the Karimoku Case 02.

This high chair was realized while planning the interior of the Blue Bottle Shibuya Café to match the dining chair, KCS A-DC01. It was carefully designed so that one can relax and comfortably sit in for an extended period by providing a spacious backrest and a comfortable seat.

The bench was designed to accommodate the need of a multi-purpose piece, both comfortable used for seating but with aesthetic capabilities befitting a display stand. The thin edges of the seat and legs gives the piece a light and exclusive appearance while the transverse strut connected to the seat with a delicate steel rod, ties the construction together visually and functionally, creating a sense of overall harmony. Dedicated cushion is also available separately.

With the sofa, we played with the same structure used for the table, arriving at a sofa that embodies sculptural, yet laid-back elements. The low height enhances the size of the space. Simple, yet multi-functional, the armrest can be used as a pillow, making it a daybed.

Inspired by the crude beauty and roughness of the demolished Kinuta apartment interiors, prior to their restoration, the geometrical design of the apartments is reflected in the structure of the table. The design unleashes the beauty of the material through its succinct structure, shown through the transparent glass top, while providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere when accompanied by chairs in a space.
